Storehouse Module Testing

Test #1: Input an Order

  1. Log on to the Storehouse module as user luci or mata. You will be on the Orders tab by default.
  2. Submit a patron order by following the instructions in Input Completed Order.
    • The Preprinted number must be between 10,000 and 15,000.
    • Make a note of the Preprinted number and family name (you will need them to look up the order in the next test)
When Save Order is clicked, there should be no errors, and the message "Order Saved" should appear.
  3. After the order is submitted and the form fields are cleared, click Save Order again, this time without completing any fields.
An error box should appear at the top of the page listing the fields which need to be completed.
  4. Try correcting some of the errors, but not all. Try inputting letters in the quantity fields. Then click Save Order again.
The error list should change to reflect whatever entry mistakes you are testing.

Test #2: Search for a Past Order

  1. Log into BSIR as luci (volunteer).
  2. On the Orders tab, click the View Past Orders link.
  3. Verify that the order you just completed appears in the list of past orders on the left side of the screen.
  4. Click the Display Order Detail icon (in the Action column) next to the order.
  5. The order should appear in the Order Detail section on the right side of the screen. The order should not be editable.
  6. Log out of BSIR, and log back in as mata (storehouse coordinator).
  7. On the Orders tab, click the View Past Orders link.
  8. Click the Display Order Detail icon (in the Action column) next to any order.
  9. The order should appear in the Order Detail section on the right side of the screen. But this time, the order should be editable because you are signed on as a coordinator.
  10. Make some changes to the order and click Update Order.
  11. The order should be cleared from the Order Detail section, and the message "Order Updated" should appear briefly, followed by "(Select an order from the list on the left.)"
  12. In the Past Orders section, locate the order you just edited. Click the Display Order Detail icon (in the Action column) next to it.
  13. The changes you just made should appear in the Order Detail section.
