Audio-visual conferencing (meetinghouse)
All content on this page is moving to clerksupport.lds.org under the Meetinghouse Technology topic. This page will be deleted at the end of October.
|
This page summarizes the different tools available for audio/visual conferencing for stakes and wards throughout the world. These are methods for leaders and members to be connected, communicate and participate in meetings and gatherings without having to be physically present in the same Meetinghouse.
Leaders
Leaders who wish to communicate with each other can make use of Personal Video Conferencing (PVC) in order to reduce travel for individual meetings. This may include personal priesthood interviews between stake presidents and bishops where travel is a burden, remote participation in high council meetings where the members are geographically dispersed, etc.
Members
Members who wish to participate in Church services without travelling to the Meetinghouse where the service is originating, and to whom Meetinghouse Webcast is not available, may be able to take advantage of web conferencing or audio conferencing.
