Getting Ward Computer Fixed Under Warranty

#1

Post by sdmahouston »

I've recently been called as the Stake Technology Specialist in my stake. I have a ward clerk computer that keeps blue screening at startup. The GSC said it's likely a hardware problem and that it's under warranty and that I should call Lenovo support to have them come and fix it. The GSC didn't have any other information about how to call Lenovo support. FM group has no idea how to contact them either. I can't find any information in the Technology Specialist help section about how to get a computer fixed under warranty. Does anyone know how I should go about getting this done?

Have you gone to the Lenovo website to check the status of the warranty?

I had one fail under warranty and I exchanged it with the FM Group for a good PC. They used my new PC's box to send the bad one off for repair. FM can wait for the PC to get fixed, the unit it belongs to can't. Include a printout from the above webpage with the search results. That will usually tell them how to get the bad PC repaired. Be sure to keep your PFR in the loop with all communications with FM.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Thanks for the information that helps a lot, it sounds like you have a good FM group. I wish ours was as helpful as yours.
