How to Capture Video Posted on lds.org

#1Postby mlh78 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 10:25 am

I need to show the following clip in a training meeting: http://www.lds.org/study/prophets-speak-today/unto-all-the-world/many-ones-taught-by-apostle-visiting-england?lang=eng&query=one+one+bednar+reading+england

I don't trust our meetinghouse Internet or the church website. Is it possible to download this video beforehand?

The video has an mp4 form, but the Church didn't setup the brightcove video to allow it for download

You can play the video on your computer and record the screen using screen capture software (think TV cable show recorded to your VCR in real-time).

Use Internet Download Manager (http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/)

Go to the page and you will see a pop-up on the page (mine was on the bottom left) for the IDM Download this video.

I had to close my browser (Chrome) and IDM once and restart both before it would work. It downloaded the 90MB video to a .flv (playable with VideoLan or you can convert it with some other tool) without issue.
