Bishopric meetings shown on google calendar

#1

Post by darwinpearce »

Bishopric meetings are not shown on the lds.org calendar but when copied to google calendar they are there. I have tried to copy a new url and recreate the calendar but these items are still there. Is there a way to delete items shown in the google calendar?

If an event syncs to a third-party calendar such as Google Calendar, then that means that it is a calendar that you are subscribed to. The sync process includes exactly the list of your subscribed calendars, no more, no less. So the only way to cause an event not to appear on a synced calendar is to unsubscribe from that calendar (which is probably not what you want to do).

If the events on a subscribed calendar do not appear on the main calendar display, then that is an indication that you have not checked the box by that calendar name requesting that those events be displayed. Checking that box will cause those events to display.

The checkboxes on the main page have no effect on the events in the URL. You have to go to the Subscription page and unsubscribe from those calendars.

But please note that if you do that, you'll no longer have the checkbox on the main page for that calendar and you'll no longer be able to view that calendar until you re-subscribe.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
