Out of Unit Leader Can't Access Correct Directory on LDS.org

#1

Post by iswcky »

We have a full-time senior missionary couple serving in our stake. Back in April 2012 the brother was called as 1st counselor in the bishopric. At that time in MLS we created the out-of-unit member record (using his IOS) for him and he showed up properly in MLS and CDOL. Checked this morning and he is still listed correctly in MLS and CDOL. He has access to the leader tools on LDS.org, but only his home ward shows up (outside of our stake). Did we miss doing something to set him up correctly so he can access the directory in the ward he is currently serving in?

Do not know if this has been answered elsewhere. I tried searching for "Out of Unit" on the fourms, but it said the words were too common. Only found related issues dealing with YSA Stakes as I scanned through the forum topics.

If he has a standard position listed in MLS and in CDOL he should have access to both his service unit and home unit in the Directory. The service unit and service stake units should be available in the drop-down list of units in the top of the left column. Has he checked there to see if the service unit is listed there?

Thanks JD! That was the problem. User did not notice the drop-down for the stake, only for the wards.

Side note. He is also using LDS Tools and he was also able to get to his service unit directory there too.
