Primary lesson schedules

#1

Post by tlmecham »

When I looked at the Primary lesson schedule it has the Easter and Christmas lessons in November and then "new lesson" for the rest of the year. Is this the schedule we are asked to follow? Do we skip a lesson for Stake Conference or just push it forward?

No, the Lesson Schedules application simply places the lessons in order (avoiding scheduled events) as they appear in the manual. There is currently no special support for the Primary lessons designated for Easter and Christmas, so you'll have to make manual adjustments to put those lessons on the appropriate dates.

That's a local decision, but in general it will work best to create an event for stake conference before adding the 2013 lessons to the class. That will have the effect of pushing the remaining lessons forward. There are typically 46 lessons in the Primary lesson manuals, so even if you account for two stake conferences, two general conferences, and perhaps a skipped Sunday or two for a Primary program rehearsal, there are still enough lessons for a typical year with 52 Sundays that there is no reason to skip one.
