easing restrictions on router provided by lds

i wonder if we can change the browsing restricitons to allow certain type of you tube videos for teaching purposes

a reply to innisfailwardclerk@gmail.com would be fine as well.

This issue of YouTube being blocked by the router filter is not an easy one to correct. The filtering service is provided by a third party and not directly at CHQ. It is not possible to selectively allow some videos while blocking access to the rest of the site.

There are other threads discussing this issue on the forum. You can get a better idea of the issue by reading some of those.

Why not just download the YouTube videos at home before coming to church? It's not that difficult.

Yep, as long as there's a clear path on exactly HOW to play those saved videos once a person gets to the building. But there's another thread already covering that topic here...
