apk files for android apps like gospel library and lds tools

Can the apk files be made available, so devices that don't have access to a market can still install the applications?

For example there are several cheaper android tablets that don't have access to the official google android market. some have access to amazon market, some seem to have other less known markets. But if the apk files could be made available, then it may be possible to install the apps on the these devices even without market access.

They are provided... Access the Wiki link and search for LDS Tools or Gospel Library.... the project pages have the apk's available for download... I did a quick search for apk on the wiki and got right there.

Gospel Library and LDS Tools have faulty links. Anyone got updated ones? Thanks.

If you're referring to the Android sideloading article, then I can agree that Gospel Library's link was bad, but LDS Tools seems to work fine. If you're talking about some other page, please provide a link.

I said the GL link "was" bad because I just fixed it to match the Gospel Library for Android project page's APK link.

Actually, I discovered the problem. The links for the icon and the text are slightly different.
This one works (text): http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/ ... .2.1-z.apk
This one doesn't (icon): http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/ ... .2.1-z.apk

The https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Android_sideloading page was out of date and is now updated and should always have the latest releases linked.

Google Play links can be found here : http://www.lds.org/pages/mobileapps/android and here https://play.google.com/store/apps/deve ... day+Saints for as of today, the LDS.org page does not include 'The Coat'

Amazon Apps (Kindle Fire) can be found here : http://www.lds.org/pages/mobileapps/kindle-fire (which some links seem to be out of date) and here is the link on the Amazon Appstore for Android http://www.amazon.com/s/?field-brandtex ... 2350149011

For other versions go here http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/ (older, current, and beta)

As an update (10 years later), information about downloading Gospel Library outside of the Play Store can be found on the Gospel Library FAQ page (see "Can I download Gospel Library for Android without Google Play?").
