Releasing records from Hold status

#1

Post by Thaiboyzdad »

Good evening, I have two questions.

First - a month or so ago, the Bishop placed a note on a member record for the record to be held. That hold is no longer needed. How do we release that hold? We added a note to the record stating it could be released. Is that sufficient?

Thank you for your advice!

[Moderator note: This thread was split into two threads. Note the Code of Conduct regarding one topic per thread. The other thread is Printing fast offering report.]

The only way to prevent a record from being moved is to have a Move restriction placed on the record. To do that the bishop had to either call the administrative office or send a special request through MLS. To remove the move restriction the bishop must call the administrative office to have the restriction lifted.

Thanks JD. We received a note from admin office asking the Bishop to call to release. That aligns with what you said. Thanks for the information.
