New Site on Jesus Christ

#1

Post by cannona-p40 »

Hi all.

I just wanted to share a site which we recently put online: http://JesusChrist.lds.org/

As many of you undoubtedly know, the March issue of the Ensign and Liahona magazines are deticated to the topic of Christ, and this web site is meant to go along with those.

We are very much interested in feedback, so please post any and all comments to this thread, and I will make sure they get seen by the right people.

Thanks all for your help with this.

I think the new site is very well done. I will be letting every one I know about it. Good work.

Wow, ya mean Mormons believe in Christ??

Seriously, I very much like the layout. Simple, elegant, easy to navigate, gets the message across very effectively. The only thing I found during my session was I could not get any of the video clips to play smoothly. The streaming appeared to be around 30k-40K bps which should be a breeze for my 8Mbps Comcast connection, but each one I tried was very choppy. It detracted a lot from the message. For your reference, my system is: C2D processor, 2GB RAM, Vista Ult., IE7 w/Flash Player 9.0.115.0, and all the latest OS patches.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

The video is choppy on my system too. Seems to be the rationed download stream is too slow. If I reset the video to the beginning, it runs smoothly for quite some time before the buffer runs out and it becomes choppy again.

I can't believe it. So many LDS translators, and translations, and still resources only in english! If it was understandable in the past, now isn't.
Words and phrases of the Gospel are always the same. At least one member (me) is available to work freely for this and thus translation fade (languish) :).
I don't know which Electronic Translation Aid is in use to Church, but I suppose it has a wide large base of translations to use to and have a quickly work done.
Am I a dreamer, or out of state of art, in that?
I'm speaking of write not multimedia. (But I suppose we can do it even for that).
