Stake Split and Locations

#1

Post by natet »

Our stake recently split, and the new stake inherited 4 buildings, 2 each from the other stakes that it was split from. Is there some way to move the locations from one stake to another, or do I need to recreate the locations in the new stake and have all the organizations recreate their events?

It also appears that I can't remove the locations from the old stake, despite still being listed as the technology specialist in that stake in MLS. I suspect that is because there are current reservations and items listed there.

That's because those locations came from the Facilities Management database (FMAT). You can't delete those. You can only delete locations that were created by the stake.

So, to answer your first question, I think you're going to need the FM group to update the FMAT. You may also have to wait for CHQ to move the wards to their new stakes.

Sounds like this is going to be fun. The wards have already been moved to the new stake, but the new stake is in a different FM than the old. I'll send an email to our FM to get them moved.
