I have found a number of threads that discuss the need to limit usage during a stake conference. What I have failed to come across is any discussion or instructions on HOW to do so.
Can someone point me to any specific instructions?

That seems incredulous, however, the discussion has centered around the following:
1. Power off any wireless access points.
2. Remove the wireless antenna on the 881W if you are lucky enough to have one.

temporarily changing the password for LDSAccess is not the preferred method from the GSC. If you have a consumer wireless access point this is an option.

We simplified this process in our stake.
We simply plug all the 1041n's into a power strip. Flip one switch and all are off. Then simply remove the three antenna from the 881W and no more wifi. the 881 will only transmit a few feet with out the antenna.
However CHQ is getting to release the Technology Manager and that MIGHT allow us to remotely shut down wifi.

As with JohnShaw, I will believe it when I actually see it, but we have been told that the first release of Technology Manager will allow the stake to turn off WiFi and turn it back on again.

I was actually referring to the ease of disabling the wireless with the install of their 1041N... centrally powered, some strategic thought went into that.

The email that I got says that it will be a feature in a subsequent release, not the first issue.
But...
Its all a wait and see kinda thing, just like using the LDSaccess credentials for the wifi...... No longer in the works.
