Roughly translated:

"It would be great to have a Spanish section on this forum, I find very good information here."

(Sorry to everyone else who has better Spanish - I just got here first...)

BTW - I think having a Spanish section is a good idea, too.

First off, thank the user in Spanish for me. Secondly, this is being discussed and I am hopeful we will create a Spanish section. However I would need some fluent Spanish speaking moderators to assist. Please let me know if you can help. They would need to know English and Spanish very well so that they can work with me and the other moderators who do not speak Spanish.

While I would welcome other languages, I'd like to see a way that we can participate together in a common forum. Unfortunately, I doubt if automatic translation tools are up to the task. (I wonder how my posts translate?) Any ideas to help bridge the language barrier?

Google translator has bookmarks toolbar buttons that I use (just for fun really). Your post translated as shown above. I guess someone versed in Spanish will be able to comment on the quality of the translation.

Putting the Spanish translation back through Google's translator gave the above.

Cheers,

Well, and a Portuguese forum?

(I believe that is impossible at the moment!)

Before we decide on Spanish and Portuguese, I would need some moderators for each forum. So far, I have one person that has offered to help with Spanish.

Tom, as an interim solution, what about adding some translation buttons to the English pages? That might be useful to build some momentum in other languages.

I believe that is important (in international areas) publish a notice or memorandum to inform members and priesthood leaders the existence of LDS Tech forums. With these information, many clerks, STS and other leaders from many cultures and languages and different English experiences can help to translate the forum or create sub-forums with correlate matters.
