Posting Reference Information for Local Leaders

On the "classic" website, the "Stake News & Information" section allowed the posting of reference material (Word documents) such as "Teachings for Our Times" resources prepared by the Stake Presidency. Is such document posting possible on the new lds.org site?

The Newsletter application allows you to create articles with attachments. It can be used for the purpose you mentioned (our stake has used it for many such articles). You may want to browse the Newsletter Help System.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Although the current version of Lesson Schedules doesn't support this, it's possible that the next release, which should be out any day now (we hope), will allow you to link to conference talks for TFOT lessons. Right now you can put in a description, but you can't link. It's good to encourage people to use the tools. The new Lesson Schedules application is much more flexible than what was available on the classic sites.
