Custom fields in MLS (and MLS.org

Hi Team

Here in Denmark, we (all churches, schools, sporting, scouts,...) have to have the polices approval of all, that are going to work with children and youths (so that is all in the Bishopric, Primary, AP, YW, Sunday School, Scouting...).

This is a process, we have to get the members approval, then go to the police, that later (after a few weeks), says Yes or No. Now this approval last until it is revoked.
In the church we try to keep track of this, by having several documents and spreadsheets circulating.

Now, it would be much better, if we could have a 'custom field' (controlled at national level) at the member record, that for Denmark could be 'Chuch has Child approval on file'.

That would make life easier for us.

So the question is, is this possible in MLS ?

At a local level, yes. See Custom fields (MLS). However, it will not go with the member when the record is transferred to a new unit.

Your best bet for a change in MLS is to pass it to your stake president to go to the area rep. I would expect this kind of change to come from the Priesthood department, not bubble up from the developers.
