I hope this is the place that I should post suggestions to developers. I couldn't find another place to contact anyone.

As our stake is transitioning to using the online calendar, we are experiencing frustration when events almost overlap. For example, if I am scheduling a youth dance, I need to start decorating the gym a few hours before the event, but I don't mind if someone else uses the other rooms until right before. But when I schedule resources, I have to have the same setup time for all resources. In the past month I have had multiple conflicts that could have been resolved if I could schedule different setup times. Currently I get around this problem by scheduling some resources on the public calendar then creating a different event on a private calendar and scheduling the other resources.

Another suggestion: it would be really nice to be able to navigate months from a drop down menu instead of having to click forward one month at a time and wait for it to load before clicking to the next month.

Thanks for this app. It is much better than the old way of calendaring and scheduling. :-)

I run into that kind of scenario occasionally, too. But if your suggestion were to be implemented, the simple setup/cleanup dropdowns we have now would have to be replaced by a more complex user interface. Is the cost of that additional complexity for all users all the time justified by the rare benefit of handling unusual setup requirements in a single event? Since it is so rare, I don't mind the minor burden of putting the extra setup time on a private calendar.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

If you use the arrows with the smaller calendar in the upper left you can more quickly move to the month you want before making the main calendar reload.

Thanks JonesRK! I have clicked on the arrows by the little calendar before, but I didn't know it had anything to do with the big calendar. After your comment, I clicked the arrows by the little calendar, then clicked on a date in the little calendar and the big calendar changed to that month! Wow, a great time saver. Thank you.
