moving/panning mini-map also moves the dialog

If I click on 'show on map' for an individual's address, and the mini-map dialog is displayed (not maps.lds.org), if I hold the mouse button down so I can pan/move the map, the dialog is also moved. It's an interesting look but not very helpful :-)

We do try to make "interesting" software ;-) Can you screen shot that and send it to me? It's easier for the developers to figure out what's going on if they can see the problem. Thanks.

I don't know that a screen shot will help that much, since it's a question of interaction. But here's a screen shot:

This is the popup displayed when you click on "Show on Map" for a household in the Directory. If you click anywhere outside the red box (the "mini-map") and then drag, the popup is moved around relative to the whole browser window. That is the expected behavior.

But if you click inside the red box and drag, two things happen:
  1. The map moves relative to the popup. That is the expected behavior, since it allows you to scroll the map to see areas that are currently outside the viewport.
  2. The popup moves relative to the browser window. That is not expected. It creates an odd behavior that you have to see in action to comprehend, since you see motion within the map and motion of the popup at the same time.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.
