Technology Specialist e-mail subscription list NOT AVAILABLE

#1

Post by TravisGraham »

I am the Stake Technology Specialist for my stake. According to the below linked website - it has instructions and states that if you are the STS you will see and be able to subscribe to the "Technology Specialists" email list. However, It does not show up when I go to subscriptions.

When I look at the Stake Leadership Directory online on the "Other Callings" page I can see myself and I show up as the "Stake IT Director". I am wondering if the reason I do not see the Technology Specialist email list is because they didn't assign my calling properly? Any ideas?

They put you in a custom calling. I'm also a STS and I'm listed as "Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Specialist" in our directory.

So someone will need to update the stake MLS and put you in the proper standardized calling. While you're at it, you may want to impress upon them in the importance of using standard callings. People with custom callings will have no rights to any web resources behind being a member of their ward.

Thank you Russell. And who is the one who changes this? Is it a Ward Clerk or a Stake Clerk?

Oh and do they change it in MLS or on the site?

Since your calling is a stake calling, it would be a stake clerk who makes the change in stake MLS.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Indications that we still aren't getting the word out to everyone. A Stake Clerk, or Assistant Stake Clerk who used a non-standard calling? How do we fix this? It will take a Segment of a WWLT in my estimation. Too bad though..... Regional Training for Stake Clerks?
