General Conference Priesthood Session via Internet

#1

Post by sphester »

Hi All

Not sure if this is right place but here goes.

Over the UK typically we watch the Priesthood Session of conference on Saturday morning as a rebroadcast via the satellite system.

O thought it strange but back in April one of our units was able to watch the Priesthood session on the Sunday as the session had been made available as an archive on lds.org

I have been asked if this will happen for October and can't see why not. Does anyone have a definitive answer.

Thanks.

I've been told my a member of the satellite team that they try to have the broadcast available 90 minutes after the broadcast. (Operative word "try"). For this past RS broadcast, the download link did not appear until the following morning.

So it might happen, but I don't know as I'd guarantee it.

The session happens live at 6pm MDT -0600 GMT, so it's over by I think 2am your time. That means that the arhived full session video is already available by the time your people would arrive at the meetinghouse to view it. So all you'll need to do is fire up a computer, connect it the usual way, and click on the link for the archived video at conference.lds.org and you'll see it.

I was flat on my back sick with a virus last time, and this time I'll be working on a fishing TV show segment at my new job although I'm not getting paid yet for any of it, we'll actually be at a lake fishing, so I'll miss going to the live broadcast at a chapel, so I'll have to view it the same way this time when I get home about three hours after it ends which is still a few hours before you will need to watch the archived broadcast as you have planned.
