Moving Records due to boundary realignments

#1

Post by HansG »

Hi All,
Our stake just completed some radical changes to boundaries within the stake. The changes affected every unit.

The "new" wards will meet together for the first time on the Sunday after general conference (Oct 14).

Is there a way for the stake to move membership records en mass? Or does each membership clerk at the ward level have to send and request?

On a related note, it seems like it would be much more efficient (much less keyboarding) for each ward to send out records that need to go, rather than the receiving wards having to request those records. Do you agree?

Thank you.

The stake cannot move records but each ward can send records to the other wards en-mass (as you suggest). See Boundary realignment (MLS)on the wiki for details.

That's awesome, I didn't know MLS had that option.

Thank you!
