Cannot add Calendar Administrators

#1

Post by sloancpa »

We have a ward communications specialist. I tried to add that calling as one of the administrators. The calling does not appear in the listing. We have it in MLS as "Other Callings: Communications Specialist. Since that didn't work I tried to add by name. I followed the steps, then hit "add". The persons name appears at the bottom of the list, but then the page refreshes and it disappears from the list.
I am the bishop, so I am a default admin. I assume I have the rights to do this.
Please help.

The only callings that can be used for assignments are standard callings. Since "Communication Specialist" is a custom calling your ward created, that calling cannot be used for assigning an administrator (or a calendar editor). So in this regard, the calendar application is working as designed.

I can't duplicate this. In fact, I successfully added an administrator by name just this morning.

After you typed in the person's name (or part of their name), did you actually select that name by clicking on the name in the dropdown list that appeared? That is an essential step before clicking the Add button.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

I was using Safari from a Mac. I tried it using Firefox and it worked. Somehow there is a conflict with Safari. I was able to do it. Thanks for confirming it wasn't something more widespread.
