As an STS shouldn't we be able to at least see the tech stuff, but apparently that ability has been removed completely.:confused:

That will send some of us elsewhere to buy.

Much of the "tech stuff" is now purchased by the FM group through their own ordering system, now that the responsibility for purchasing networking hardware is theirs.

But other technology components that are purchased by the stake are still available on store.lds.org. For example, I am also an STS, and when I do a search for "Webcast" I see 15 results come up. So I don't see any significant change in that regard.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Alan, along with your STS position, you are also listed as "Stake Assistant Clerk", which gives you the additional visibility. In THIS thread, a brother claimed he couldn't see some of the key webcast items with his login credentials of "Stake Assistant Clerk - Technology". (Which doesn't seem right to me.)

I've sent feedback to store.lds.org. They claim I can see it. I sent a screenshot back showing that I can't. We'll see what happens.

But the response suggests that what we're experiencing isn't by design.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Thanks for the clarification. In this new world of permissions based on callings, it's hard to know what calling enables me to do what.

And it seems completely upside down that a stake assistant clerk would be able to see more technology-related stuff on store.lds.org than an STS. So I'm glad that RussellHltn and others are following up on this. I'm probably not in a good position to do that because of my extra callings.

There was an update to CDOL on September 29th which altered the rights for the role Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Spc as a valid calling on the Online Store. This is currently being worked on and you should have visibility to see the equipment again soon.

I'm confused. The recent CDOL release didn't change anything about Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Spc. The position was renamed to Stake Assistant Clerk--Technology Specialist, but that was done dynamically within the application. My LDSAccount headers haven't changed at all with this release.

I would like to know what change broke the rights, so we can better handle future changes.
