Edit Head of Household

We had a family move into our Ward, but the husbands records never came with the other family's records. It shows the wife as the H.O.H. When her husband's records came to our MLS it shows him as spouse. He is a member. How do I change the MLS to show him as H.O.H.

Remove the husband from the wife's household. When the popup asks for the household member destination select the first option to make him HoH of a new household. Then go back to the wife's household and remove her from that household. When the popup asks for the household member destination select to assign to another household. You will be prompted to select the household. Select her husbands household. You will be asked what to do with the children when moving the wife. Just have them move with her.

A simpler approach is simply to remove the wife from the household (moving her to her own household). That will make the husband HoH. Then move the woman back to the household, which will make her the spouse. That way you don't have to worry about the children, and all the household contact information is retained.
