Event Pop up does not pop up

#1

Post by CraigShull »

Stake RS President who has viewing and editing rights given her, can not create an event on the stake calendar. When clicking on the event day, the event pop-up window will not display. Pop up windows happen on other web programs. Platform is a MacBook Pro. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Has she tried following the procedure Schedule Events in the Calendar help? That procedure uses the week view instead of the month view. The procedures described there are different from the procedure of clicking on the day in month view.

The first thing to check is if the create event button appears (a big + sign on the button in the upper right, immediately to the left of the button with a large "i"). If that button doesn't appear, then she won't be able to create events by clicking on a day, either, which means that editing rights were not properly given to her. Some administrator needs to check whatever calendar she is supposed to have editing rights to, to see if she truly has those rights.

And then she needs to check that she's subscribed and is displaying a calendar she has editing rights to.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

That's a good point that she has to be subscribed to the calendar in order to add an event. She doesn't have to be displaying the calendar in order to add an event (the Create Event button will be visible and the event popup will appear when she clicks on a date anyway), but the experience can be a little strange if you add an event and then don't see it appear because you are not displaying that calendar.
