Report Capabilities in LDS Tools like Ward Tools

#1

Post by dmwilson6 »

I am a long time user of Ward Tools which allows me to build custom reports based on exported MLS data. The Ward Tools appllication is no longer supported for new development so I am wondering when LDS Tools will have that capabilities?

dmwilson6, you can follow along with the project development team by selecting Projects and finding the LDS Tools for Android and the LDS Tools for IOS projects, join up and get on the groups.. The last stated goal that we've heard about the mobile tools is that they want both platforms to be near even in their abilities by the end of the year. The last android release really jumped them up.

I doubt that functionality could be built into the LDS Tools app readily at all, because all the raw data that was grist for the custom leader-oriented reports you describe is probably not stored persistently on the user's device like it was on Ward Tools. I think most of the existing report logic in LDS Tools is defined and executed upstream on the lds.org server and the canned results are downloaded. LDS Tools for leaders is conceived more as a thin-client app.
