A new unit was created in our stake on 7/2. We checked with the local FM Group to make sure they added the new unit to the correct building. However we cannot find the new unit to add it to a location on the calendar. It has been several weeks and we are not sure what to do now. Anyone have any ideas?
New Unit Name: Otay Lakes Ward (1917838)
Stake: Chula Vista CA (508543)

It takes time after the unit becomes active and entered into the system for it to appear. Even though FM entered the unit before it was officially activated, it is the activation date that sets things in motion. It may take another day or two. If not there by Monday then calling LUS may be in order.KenRichins wrote:We added a new unit July 29...

Originally we called LUS and they said they do not handle Calendar issues and directed us to post the issue to the LDS Tech forum and hopefuly one of the folks working on the Calendar would see it and respond. Will call LUS again tomorrow. Maybe I will get a different response this time?

We need to remember that automation only automates things that can be or we choose to be automated. Not everything we do is setup automatically and goes across a desk once in a while. For Instance, you can make any change to MLS and it automatically goes out to CDOL and within hours that access available to the person. When a new Bishop is added through the Stake MLS, that goes across a desk and somebody makes a decision manually that then translates to a push to CDOL (I'm probably simplifying this).
I would expect a Major change, boundary, stake alignments, unit creations, new meetinghouse built and unit moves, these are less likely to be automated and more likely to depend on individuals to help the process along.
