"Out of Unit" Records

Post by jekylls »

We have several members of our stake serving as bishops, bishop's counselors, and high council in YSA stakes. Is there a limit to the number of Out of Unit temporary records that can be created by the YSA stake?

I'm concerned that moving the members records to the YSA stake will leave them out of home teaching, etc. and be forgotten by MLS.

No, there's no limit. Create as many as you need.

Moving records of such leaders to the YSA stake is a bad idea for the reasons you listed (and many others), and it is also against policy (see Handbook 1, 13.6.5). So just stick with the Out of Unit records for these leaders.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Does a out of unit record need to be created for the bishop as well, or will the change of unit leader process take care of that.
