New Calender, Scheduling Priorities

Is there a written directive somewhere that says funerals bump all scheduled activities in church buildings, or is that just a local policy that doesn't apply in all stakes?

I don't see that in Handbook 2 18.6.4, but I do find
A funeral conducted by the bishop, whether in a Church building or another location, is a Church meeting and a religious service. It should be a spiritual occasion in addition to a family gathering. The bishop urges members to maintain a spirit of reverence, dignity, and solemnity during a funeral service and at gatherings connected with the service.
Somehow a basketball game in the cultural hall doesn't seem appropriate. While I do think there is room for other activities to be held, one does have to consider the nature of the activities. Not just the activity itself, but what tends to happen in conjunction with that activity. Canceling everything else in the building seems like a quick way to make sure.

While not aware of a written policy, it seems pretty standard in the areas I've lived in that funerals bump activities, under direction of local authority. This seems appropriate to me.
