Lenovo Toolbox etc
Do you all leave the Lenovo software running on the new machines? They could be good in notifying of device driver updates, but so far I've mostly found that just they themselves require a lot of updates and they give primarily false warnings. Just curious.

This one comes down to personal preference. In the new computer setup instructions we're about to post, I added directions (under optional items) for turning it off:
Configure the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox (Lenovo machines)
a. Right-click on the toolbox icon ( ) and click Launch Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox.
b. Click the Settings link in the top-right corner of the window.
c. Uncheck the boxes next to “Show information about products, services, and special offers”, “ Show Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox status icon in the task bar”, and “Send anonymous usage statistics to Lenovo”.
d. Click Save and close the window.
