Tools Permissions
Our ward has an assistant ward executive secretary. We would like him to be able to view the reports online but because his position is a "custom" position he can not view them. Is there anyway to give him permissions to the clerk tools online without having to remove our executive secretary? We would like both to have equal access if possible.

Access to the Leader and Clerk Resources is granted by way of callings only. The only way to give him the same access rights as the executive secretary is for him to be entered into MLS as an executive secretary. I am not advocating you do that since there are more ramifications of that action than just online application rights. Since he was not called as an executive secretary he should not be entered into MLS as such. I would take this up with the bishop and possibly the state president.

Since assistant ward executive secretary is not an official calling, our stake has decided to call them as assistant clerks and to let the bishops assign them to serve as assistant executive secretaries. Doing so maintains stake stewardship over the calling plus allows them access to the online tools.

Although I certainly agree that it would be helpful for auxiliary and quorum secretaries to have access to online tools, that is not allowed right now (but there are indications that it is on the road map for sometime in the future).laraleepn wrote:Secretaries need access to some of the tools as well.
