When users view the leadership list online, the entire primary presidency has duplicates. As the membership clerk (assistant clerk) i'm trying to remove the duplicates. They show up in the MLS only once with the sustaining date of Feb 5, 2012. However, online they have one entry for that date, and another for Jan 29, 2012.
How do i fix this?

When you say "leadership list" can you be more specific as to where you are looking? Also, I'd suggest looking at the CDOL as it is the "master" that most everything else syncs from/to.
As for correction, try Correcting duplicate or missing callings.

"Leadership List" = Organization > Callings by Organization > Primary > The Primary President, 1st & 2nd Counselors, & Secretary. (https://www.lds.org/mls/mbr/orgs/primary?lang=eng)
Here's a screenshot: CDOL has them listed twice. Last night I tried the steps recommended in your link to remove the duplicates by using MLS, but it hasn't changed. Can I modify CDOL information online?

Nope. You might want to try some variations on what was suggested.

I noticed from your screen shot that the duplicate entries have different sustained dates. I wonder if that leads CDOL to think there are two separate callings. As you follow the steps for cleaning up duplicates, are you deleting callings with the wrong sustaining date, leaving only the correct sustaining date?
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

I can see that the refresh is ready to come down the next time you do a send/receive. After you get that you should be able to see the duplicates in MLS and clean them up.adoga wrote:Last night I tried the steps recommended in your link to remove the duplicates by using MLS, but it hasn't changed. Oh thanks! I guess i didn't wait long enough. That's great to hear.
I just realized that I neglected to print the callings list before asking for a refresh. I'll have to beat the others to the computer or else risk having something lost won't I?
