Certificates of Advancement

#1

Post by derek555 »

It would be very helpful to have Certificates of Advancement available online to fill out for Primary and Young Women advancement. These forms currently exist as hard copies, but to fill them out you need to get a typewriter or manually fill them out.

The certificates available for Priesthood ordinances are great for Baptisms, Baby Blessings, and Priesthood office ordinations are great to be able to print out and distribute, but similar online forms for Primary and Young Women advancement are sadly lacking.

It would be nice to be able to fill these out for the Bishop to sign and give to kids as they graduate from Primary and Young Women as they advance.

If there is some other means to get these forms online to fill out, please let me know. I haven't been able to find anything besides the hard copies we can get from the distribution center.

I just create a template using a word processing program to print on top of any fill-in pre-printed forms. If you are fortunate someone may have already done that for these certificates and will post them here.

You can find a Primary Advancement certificate template on the wiki at Other certificates; if other templates are available, it would be nice to post them on the wiki, too -- that's a more reliable place than this forum.
Questions that can benefit the larger community should be asked in a public forum, not a private message.

Thank-you very much for both suggestions. Both very helpful, I'll check out the wiki.

The document in that link is blank except for a line that says wardname ward and then one that says stake name. Someone might want to take a look and fix or replace it.

I don't think there's anything that needs to be fixed -- that template is intended to allow you print on the preprinted Primary Certificate of Advancement. Note that in addition to the ward and stake name fields there are also replaceable fields for the person's name and the date.

I clinked on the link for

Primary Certificate of Advancement
http://store.lds.org/webapp/wcs/stores/ ... -1__195585

and you can't order any in ENGLISH. You can order them in every language except english. Where can I order some Primary Certificate of Advancement in english?

Interesting sure enough English is not listed as one of the available languages, it was a couple of months ago. I would suggest calling distribution and talk to them.

church distribution is telling the primary presidents in my stake the primary advancement certificate is not available but clerks can print one. the only thing I have found is the word doc on the wiki at "https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Certificates# ... rtificates" which seems to only have ward and stake fields. Is there any better resource?

I have been trying to order them from LDS store as well. I have only found them NOT in English so I have sent them a message inquiring about this. I have tried saving the image from the LDS store of the Certificate but it was not very pretty. I to would like to have a download that we could enter the Childs name, print it out and have the Bishop and Primary President sign it.
