Another thing that is unique to YSA wards is that, in most cases, each household only has one person. So, it'd be nice if the individuals' info were most prominent instead of the household info (i.e. at the top of their entry in the directory). Contact info that is typed in, or photos that are uploaded, for an individual, is very small at the bottom of the directory entry...
In short, the layout of a directory entry isn't intuitive when the head of household is the only household member.

This is no different than it is for singles in a family ward. I don't see an issue with the way it is. The household information can be the same as the individual information. Or there can be only household information if the member so desires to make that prominent.

There are lots of options for both YSA and regular wards that would be nice and useful. I, for one, am just grateful it is as good as it currently is.
I would suggest that you post each feature that would be helpful to the feedback for the Directory. I would also request that you make a separate Feedback request for each feature, to keep them from getting lost in the shuffle. I'm confident the developers are keeping a list of requests and will work as many in as quickly as feasible. More requests could move a feature up on the priority list.

Single member households can ignore the 'Individual' section of their profile if they are looking for a single place for their information, since this just becomes redundant.
Photos, however, do pose a problem, since we use different photos (household vs. individual) in different lists in the application. We do have a change coming that will help with this problem in a future release.
We are planning on changing the bulk photo assignment process (the 'New Photos' link in the left navigation that ward admins use) so that assigning a photo from there to a household with only one member will automatically assign the photo as both the household and individual photos. The individuals themselves will still be able to choose to have separate household/individual photos and won't have one automatically assigned as the other.

Re: YSA Household information
Hi, I was just wondering if there were any plans to implement the bulk photo assignment process any time soon as noted on this post from 29 February last year? Thanks!

There was a Directory 2013 project that was put on hold. I don't know if this was planned as part of that project or not. We don't know why it got put on hold or when/if they're going to continue the project. It's possible whenever they get back to this that you'll see this feature. I'd sure like it for more quickly updating single members in the ward.
