Is there an app of the Gospel Library for a nook color? If so how do I get it to download it to mine? I have the scriptures on my nook color.

Welcome to the forum. My wife recently acquired the Nook Simple Touch and I had no problem running the Gospel Library app from the Android market, but I know others have said the app there (in its current form) doesn't play well with the Nook Color. You might check out a recent discussion that was started about the Nook Color in THIS thread.
So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

The only choice at present is to root the Nook. If you search Ebay, you find SD cards that will allow dual booting. You can boot to the stock system or a custom "rooted" firmware. The "rooted" firmware should allow you to install and use Gospel Library. You can get more information on the dual boot SD cards at slatedroid.com
