Baptism Scheduling - Ward Not Assigned to Building

In our stake, as in others, not all buildings have Baptisimal Fonts. Most units in the south area of the stake use the stake center when a baptism is to be held. How does a unit, not assigned to the stake center, reserve the font for their baptism and have it linked to the event on their ward calendar?

Are we stuck where the families must coordinate with the unit's web admins to get the baptism on the unit calendar, and then also contact the stake center's building scheduler to make the reservation?

I'm not sure why the families would have to do that. What about the Ward Mission leader?

But yes, that's one way. Or, the stake could allow the Stake Center to be "open" to any ward to schedule.

So the local leaders do have some options.

Is that one of their default duties? I think I have read that somewhere but can't remember for sure.

I'd be open for that idea. Is that as simple as adding all the units in the stake to the stake center on the "locations & rooms" screen? Will this cause any conflicts?

The downside is that now any ward can schedule any room in the stake center. So it might be wise to communicate what they are allowed to do and get a great big ruler to slap some hands if they get out of line.
