Holiday calendars

I learned a lot. Thanks for pointing me to this article. Do you know where I can find how to add holidays to the calendar? e.g. Christmas, New Years? I've just spent 20 odd mins going thru LDSTech wiki, very few mins in Calendar and can't find any reference to "holidays" in both "help" sections.

Basically, you can just create events that are "All-day" events, with repeating annual rules. But note that you can only schedule repeating events 2 years into the future. I would recommend that there be a single holiday calendar at the stake level; there's no good reason I can think of to have such calendars at the ward level, as that would be a duplication of effort.

During the conversion to Calendar 2.0, holiday calendars were deleted by the Calendar developers to avoid too much strain on the system. You can see a discussion of that issue starting here.
