Why a Ward Mission Leader cannot schedule baptisms on the Ward Calendar
The Handbook says that Ward mission leaders are supposed schedule baptisms and yet they are not allowed to add events to the ward calendar?. Is there a reason for that? Whats the proposed procedure if a ward mission leader wants to schedule a baptism?

A ward mission leader can be added as an editor to one or more ward calendars. A ward administrator can certainly add him as an editor, either by name or by calling. So it's not correct to say that a WML is not allowed to add events -- he most certainly can, if the ward sets up the calendar permissions properly.kumarhawaii wrote:The Handbook says that Ward mission leaders are supposed schedule baptisms and yet they are not allowed to add events to the ward calendar?. Alternatively, if the ward chooses not to add the ward mission leader as an editor, he could work with any ward calendar administrator or editor to request that an event could be added.
Either technique could work; the first method is probably best if there are a significant number of baptisms, but the second would work fine if baptisms are relatively rare.

Yes, there are three videos at this point. You can find them on the wiki at Calendar. Obviously there are a lot more topics that could be covered, but that's a start.kumarhawaii wrote:do you know if there are training videos on the new calendar?

"Out of the box" the new system has no calendars and only the default admins. It's up to them to create a system that works for their unit.kumarhawaii wrote:The Handbook says that Ward mission leaders are supposed schedule baptisms and yet they are not allowed to add events to the ward calendar?.
