Webcast Communicator will not find the Internet???

#1

Post by jegbert »

Last night, I broadcast the Adult Session of our Stake Conference to another building in our Stake, not a problem, worked great.

This morning (Sunday, Nov. 13th) I am trying to broadcast our Leadership session to another chapel, the webcast communicator will NOT find our Internet connection or get an IP address. I have tested the ethernet cable. Plugging that cable into another computer works great, I get an IP full web access, everything. The Internet to our building is working fine.

I've shutdown and restarted the Webcast Communicator (3x), but it will not connect to the Internet. NOTHING has changed in our setup in the last 9 hours when it was working just fine.

Any ideas or support would be very appreciated!

Thanks!

Have you reset the firewall/router?

Your IP address have all been given out
On Monday you can contact LDS IT support and they can increase the DHCP range

Because, as you know, smart phones, (setup for LDS Access), acquired a network address when you enter the meetinghouse and the network address will not be released until at least four (4) hours after you leave the meetinghouse

Webcast Communicator requires DHCP provided IP address

Short term - (use only with permission) connect the Webcast Communicator directly to the modem
Thanks,
