Not Able to View other Calendars

As the Stake Assistant Clerk and being the Technology Specialist, I was able to see all of the Ward Calendars. I couldn't do anything to them, but I was able to see them. This was beneficial because it allowed us as a Stake to see if the Wards were being consistent accross the board in how they have created their calendars. In our Stake we have set some guidelines in order to be consistent in how we setup things. This is part of our training that is provided to the Stake and the Wards. With V2, that capability was taken away. Is there a way that we can still see all the calendars in our Stake (By Name), and yet still not do anything with them?

In Addition, I guess under V1, as the Tech Spec. I was able to assist a Ward on their calendar when asked. That capability is gone as well. Is there a way to remedy that as well?

I don't think that's quite true. No stake person has ever been able to see all the Ward calendars with the new Calendar system. With v1, any calendar editor had the option of selecting a location (under Available Locations on the main calendar view) and could then see all the events on the calendar that used that location. You were never able to see all events on another ward's calendar -- just those that used a specific location.

With v2, that capability is open to all users (not just editors), but is limited to Week view (no longer available on Month view). Other than the change where Month view no longer has checkboxes by each location under Available Locations, is there something else that leads you to say "that capability was taken away"?

Again, other than the ability to view events for a specific location in Month view, what capability are you referring to when you say "That capability is gone as well"?

I guess what I was use to seeing was when I went in to create an event it showed a list of all the calendars in the stake and Wards. We never posted to a ward, even though at that time it appeared you could, but that is where I saw all the created calenders "subcribed" to and "unsubscribed" to. I guess I am just wondering is there anyplace that I can see all the calendars created in the Stake and Wards?

Oh, I see what you are saying now. I thought you were talking about seeing the actual calendars with their events, rather than seeing a list of all the calendars.

With V2, building schedulers no longer are able to add events to other wards' calendars. That functionality was apparently "accidental" in V1 and was removed from V2 (see this post). Given that limitation, there's not much reason for a building scheduler to see the list of all calendars, since he can't do anything with them.

I understand. I was just hoping there was a way I could see if the Wards in our Stake were heeding the recommended Stake Guidelines without physically going out to the Wards themself.
