It would be most helpful to allow an event to be shared by multiple calendars. This would reduce duplication on the calendar for certain users. Here's an example, we have BYD on the YMYW's calendar. It would also be helpful to have it listed on the Bishop's calendar. Sure, the Bishop could subscribe to the YMYW's calendar, but my not need/want to see every youth activity in the YMYW calendar. If there was a way to have the same BYD event be ascribed to both the Bishop's and the YMYW's calendar, it would eliminate the need to create 2 different events both called BYD, one for the Bishop's calendar & one for the YMYW's calendar.
Here's another example of where this ability might be useful. The Stake Calendar may list a youth dance, for example. Sure, people could subscribe to the Stake Calendar, but there would likely be on that calendar a lot of extra events that don't pertain to the user. It would be cleaner and more efficient for the end user if other ward calendars (like the Teacher's, Priest's, Laurel's, and Mia Maid's) could simply somehow link to that event so it is included on their calendars, too, instead of recreating that event in their separate calendars. Since they are all keying off the same event, is should only show up once for a family like mine who have both a Laurel & and Teacher.

Actually the developers are using this forum for bug reports and feature requests. They visit this forum regularly. This is currently the only forum in which this is being done and is a carryover from the Calendar Beta Test forum.kisaac wrote:The "official" way to submit your requested features is to use the "feedback" option you find on LDS.org.
