1 New Message to Read

1 New Message to Read
I like to clear urgent tasks. I have one showing up that says I have 1 message to read and when I look at the message box, the only unread message is at the very bottom of the list with no To, Date or Subject. It also will not open when I click on it. How do I get rid of this thing?
