Browser Support
First time on new calendar and I get a message that my browser is not supported.
It states to use.... IE 8 or greater. I am using IE9.
Now I cannot edit calendar, it hangs on saving with a strange scroll bar in the center of the grayed window.

Problems with Internet Explorer 8?
Are there known issues and solutions with Internet Explorer 8 and the new calendar (cannot access SETTINGS)?
On the old calendar, there were several members in my stake (including myself) that experience data errors when reserving locations using Internet Explorer 8.
Today, I tried accessing SETTINGS in the new calendar and IE8 locks up. The background fills in but the settings never appear. The status bar says DONE, but cursor cannot access anything and I must end task in order to get out.
Anyone else having this problem? Are there any solutions the will allow us to use Internet Explorer 8? The only way I can use the calendar now is with IE9.

According to Microsoft, Internet Explorer version 9 is not compatible with Windows XP.
I am the Stake Technology Specialist and need to support all of the technical questions from users of the new calendar in my stake.
Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I tried that before posting yesterday. Also ran Ccleaner and reset the IE back to original settings, tried checking and unchecking add-ons, etc. All with no luck.jdcr256 wrote:Try completely clearing your browser cache.
So I went to bed and tried again this morning and WALLAH! it works fine now...go figure.

...sooooo, 1/2 hour after posting that everything is OK, the same problem happens again. Click on any of the settings links and the backgound page fills, the status bar says done, and IE locks up. Task manager reports Internet Explorer is not resonding and eventually I get a popup "Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."
Perhaps the server is bogged down, or perhaps it is on my end. I'm sure others are having this same problem. Any ideas for a solution?

If you're somewhat familiar with programming and if you'd like to do more debugging, try installing Firebug Lite and report which of the calls are stalling for you.

I have been working on some iCal import testing with v2 and was getting the script errors this morning on Firefox. Chrome was also acting odd...slow refreshes, incomplete pages, etc. I am sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes that is contributing to the issue. It does seem better here in the last hour.michaelfish wrote:...sooooo, 1/2 hour after posting that everything is OK, the same problem happens again.
