Spiral Bound Version of 2012 Curriculum?

#1

Post by amoncur »

I am about to place our ward's order for 2012 curriculum and some auxiliaries are requesting a spiral bound version of the priesthood/relief society manual (the George Albert Smith one). I haven't been able to find a spiral bound version on the lds store. Does anyone know where I can get this?

I know of those who have taken their own regularly bound copies to a local copy/print store such as Staples or Office Max or Kinkos and thy have trimmed and spiral bound the book for a small fee per copy. I don't believe the church distributes them in this format.

The "large print" may be spiral bound. It was last year. I assume there is a "large print" of the manual this year as well. (And it is large!) Some prefer the large print because it lays flat on a table for study. While I haven't seen the order for this year, other years the large print books cost the same as the small books.

There is no Large Print option on the order this year (at least as of Saturday, when we placed our order). We have about 5 members who must have the Large Print version or they will not be able to use it. I have sent requests to the Distribution Center twice (once about a month ago and once last week) about the potential availability of a Large Print Edition, no response yet.

Does anyone know if the large print version (George Albert Smith) is available yet? I'm looking in store.lds.org and don't see it. I assume that means no. ??

Is it possible it could be available earlier from another source (DBook)?

We also have a case where a member needs the large print - one of our instructors! :)

I still don't see that on the Distribution Center website.

I would suggest, in the mean time, printing out the lesson for the instructor from the manual in large print on your computer. Here is the link for you George Albert Smith Manual.
Hope this helps.
