What times does your ward have these meetings, and what time is your church?
We are currently:
7a-8:30a-Bishopric
8:30a-9:30a-PEC/Ward Council (PEC 2 & 4th Sundays, Ward Council 1 & 3rd).
9:30-12/12:30-Bishop Interviews
1-4 Church
4-Whenever setting aparts, bishop meets with new families.
I'm working on the schedule for next year when we have 9am church, and just want to see what others are doing.
I'm the Executive Secretary.

The wards I'm used to would have a schedule like:
7:00- Bishopric
8:00- PEC/Ward Council
9:00-Sacrament
12:00 Interviews/Setting apart
Usually the Bishopric/PEC meetings are closer to the Block rather then forcing those people it either wait for hours or make two trips to church.
I do see one ward in our stake that has the meetings down to 45 minutes.

Our Stake has been very firm for a number of years to keep other meetings off of Sunday. Here is what our ward does (all approved by the Stake President):
- BYC, 1 Sunday per month, right after the block of meetings
- Bishopric: each Wednesday from 8:00-9:00 pm (plus a very short meeting just before Sacrament meeting to coordinate any last minute items)
- Ward Council: 1st Tuesday of each month, 8:00 to 9:00 pm (usually goes to about 9:30)
- PEC: 3rd Tuesday of each month, 8:00 to 9:00 pm (usually goes to about 9:30)
- Interviews: Each Tuesday evening as scheduled by the Executive Secretary in working with the Bishop's availability.
- Setting Apart: Right after Church each Sunday for any the Bishopric can catch.

All those sunday morning meetings!?!? My wife would go mad at me if I left her to get the family up and ready for church every sunday. Church starts at 10am.
Tuesday evenings:
Week 1 - Ward Council, Bishopric
Week 2 - Bishopric
Week 3 - Shorter ward council followed by reach-out
Week 4 - Bishopric
PECs held infrequently as necessary
Interviews either during & after church on sunday and/or thursday evenings.
Settings apart straight after church
BYC & Bishopric Fireside 1 sunday evening per month

We can't have our wives going mad now can we. That is why I get up early and help get the some of the kids ready before I leave for meetings.dannykos wrote:All those sunday morning meetings!?!? 9:00 - 12:00 Regular Sunday Meetings

2nd Sunday
7:15 Bishopric Meeting
8:00 - 8:45 PEC
9:00 - 12:00 Regular Sunday Meetings
Since my release, I've heard they might be trying to do bishopric meeting on a weeknight, but I don't know how consistent that has been.

I'm currently in a city stake in Utah, and three wards use our building. Our general meeting block starts at 11 am this year, 1 pm next year, and 9 am the following.
Bishopric - 7:30 am Sunday (except for Gen. and Stake Conferences, and when we have a Stake P/H meeting)
PEC or Ward Council - 8 am 'til 9 or 9:30 Sunday (except as above and on 5th Sundays)
Ward Council is only on 1st Sundays.
PEC with the RS Presidency is only on 3rd Sundays.
During the year that our block starts at 9 am, leadership meetings get bumped up 30 min. (7 am).
Youth and some member interviews as well as settings apart happen just before or just after the meeting block.
The Bishopric (no secretary or clerk) try to meet Wednesday nights to participate in MIA and/or visit those in need. (Not including the Exec. Secty. or Ward Clerk is a relatively recent innovation.)
Having long lived in more rural communities or areas with much lower concentrations of members, I've found that wards and branches tend to group Sunday leadership meetings close to their meeting block. Leadership meetings may be held less frequently. Some leadership meetings may also be scheduled for weeknights as well as at locations other than ward/branch buildings.
Since inception of the consolidated Sunday meeting block, leaders I've served with have persistently considered and implemented ways to minimize leadership travel and time requirements. Even so, my perspective is that these same leaders offer varied skills in efficiently and effectively planning, preparing, and implementing leadership meetings. The World Wide Leadership training that introduced the new handbooks, offered concepts and perspectives about such meetings that we could further benefit from by reviewing the presentations.
