I've had reports from some of our members in the Beijing 1st Branch that they are able to login to http://lds.org/ with no problem, but when attempting to access the directory they get the following error message:
"access denied. You are not authorized to access this page"
Others in the Branch (including myself) have no such issues. I've submitted feedback directly from the http://lds.org site, but though I'd ask here as well to see if perhaps someone here might be able to help us find out what is going on.
We are finding the directory to be an invaluable resource for members here to fellowship one with another, especially here in Beijing where we often live far away from one another.

The first thing I would suggest checking is to be sure that the members who are seeing the error have their membership records in the ward.togiles wrote:I've had reports from some of our members in the Beijing 1st Branch that they are able to login to http://lds.org/ with no problem, but when attempting to access the directory they get the following error message:

Have you read the Code of Conduct?

Also, make sure the user's membership information has been correctly entered for their LDS Account. Have them go to http://ldsaccount.lds.org, log in using their LDS Account username and password and then check the Membership Status in the right hand column.

It's possible to create a LDS Account without any membership information. Those people will not be associated with a ward. Only baptized members who have entered their membership record number will be allowed to see the directory or calendar.
