Satellite Broadcast - Alternate Languages

#1

Post by chmsant »

Howdy all,
I am a newly called STS and we ran across a situation last week where during the RS General Broadcast, a group of sisters from our Hmong branch showed up to our Stake center for the RS social/viewing party and wanted to participate. This was the re-broadcast just after the inital live showing. My original plan was to use the streaming feed from lds.org in Hmong, which worked during the live transmission, but reverted to the just saying "Hmong" during the rebroadcast. One of our other buildings has a Hmong feed, but sending these sisters to that location would preclude them from participating in the social.

Our sat reciever at the SC is currently set up for English and Spanish. Is there any way through the menu system to patch over to another audio feed, at least temporarily in such a situation? Or does this step on FM's toes?

Thanks for the help!

It think it's possible to switch to another language pair, but you'd lose English.

If you have the newer Unity 552 receiver, you probably have a secondary audio pair that can be programed, but you need to add something (like another modulator ) to get very far.
