Suggestions for new feature in Calendar

I like the way you can overlay various calendars on top of each other, and I like how members can submit their own events, however, as the Building Scheduler, Stake Clerk, and Stake Technology Specialist, I have a few suggestions that would really help:

1) Allow anyone with a Stake position to be able to subscribe to ANY ward calendars. This would be particularly useful for the Stake Auxiliaries such as YM, YW and RS in planning activities, training, and participating in ward-level functions. It would also allow the Stake Clerk, Stake Executive Secretary and High Counselors to better coordinate multi-ward activities to take load off the Stake Presidency.

2) Allow for setup and cleanup time to be designated in building scheduling. Currently, the time you set aside for an activity is the same time that the activity "starts" on the calendar, but some activities (especially wedding receptions and Christmas parties) require a LOT of setup time. It would be really handy to be able to block out these setup and cleanup times to avoid overlap between activities, yet have the designated activity time show on the calendar.

There are others who have suggested much the same features. Instead of anyone with a stake position others recognize the need for stake leaders (standard positions) to have access to ward calendars. I can not see why the inclusion of any stake position (includes custom positions) would need that special access privilege. Both suggestions are recognized by the developers as limitations. We expect those limitations to be resolved sometime in 2011 as stated at the beginning of the Known Limitations with the Calendar.
