We are having a problem with our messages system. The database for mail appears to be corrupt since we can not archive or delete existing messages, nor can we receive new messages from HQ. We get an error during file processing. We really don't care about all the old mail, but we need to know what the new messages say. Can we rename a file somewhere and start from scratch?
The error message when we get a new message is shown below.

You can't just "rename a file somewhere" -- the MLS database is not that simple. I would advise you to follow the instructions on the message: work with your stake clerk or stake technology specialist, and one of them can call Local Unit Support for help.
In my experience, database problems such as that can be fixed by CHQ, but rarely by any other way.
