Audio / Video synch

#1

Post by jrhoton »

We have just concluded our first stake conference where we webcasted from the stake center to two other buildings. Everything went fine except the audio was out of synch. We were always about a second or so off from the audio and the video.

What suggestions do you have to alleviate this for the next stake conference?

Thanks for your help.

In which direction was the sync off? The first step is to determine at what point it is out of sync.

Some have reported problems with their projector in that it delays the video. In some cases it happens only when certain processing features are turned on.

The audio was behind the video. And it did it even when we weren’t using a projector.

I highly recommend using VLC media player for playback. It will allow you to adjust the sync timing as well as being able to adjust the video to compensate for just about any anomaly you may encounter.

It also supports dual video on the computer used for playback so you can send the video to the projector and still use the computer monitor to make needed adjustments.
